A downloadable game

An Ultra-Dense one-page retroclone TTRPG. Has 12 classes with 7 powers each.

Now updated with 12 more classes!

Is this playable?

It was written over the course of 2 days, immediately after finishing my thesis, during which time it underwent few revisions and was completely un-playtested. So maybe?

What's an "Ultra-Dense RPG"

It's an idea I've been thinking about for awhile, for a game that completely goes against the spirit and strengths of small games. Essentially, how much of an RPG can I cram into a tiny space?  I think that such a game might offer an odd balance of crunch and rules improvisation. I intentionally left some of the rules incomplete as a result.

Why is it called "Fourever Young?"

Restorative nostalgia.

This game was partly inspired by the awesome Nostalgia & Dragons 4e; reading it, I thought it really captured the sense of reflecting upon an old campaign. I wanted to make a game that was a take on nostalgia in the opposite way, by making a crunchy retroclone. In the process, I felt like I could see how I'd changed as a GM and player, by revisiting the sorts of mechanics I'd moved on from.

Made for the One-Page RPG Jam 2023.

The Future

I've enjoyed working on this game, but I think it's reached its limits within the ultra-dense format. As such, look forward to an eventual release with actually readable text, as well as hopefully, monsters.
